It was snowing as we set off to Lincoln. We had our fingers crossed and hoped for a problem free journey and an audience once we got there. No worries. Slow going and a warm welcome when we arrived.The weather won in the end. We had to finish early so that the good people of Lincoln could get home. The snow just wouldn't stop falling. Our trip home was slow. It's not easy towing the large trailer with a ton of gear in such conditions but we made it in one piece. see photos

We saw the new year in for a second time with the crowd at the Wales Jubilee Club. A great lot and a fantastic night was had by all. Steve, the club president joined us on stage with his rendition of the Searchers classic.

What can I say? It was worth the long treck up to Scunthorpe and dodging the football traffic to boot. We were made very welcome. I've got to mention Alison who kept the whole thing together and Tim; Timothy Hernon... DJ/MC extraordinaire. He's your man if you want a party. Not to forget the folk there in Scunthorpe. Sad news .... Eric Delaney, the world's most famous big band drummer has passed away. He died on the 15th July at the age of 87. Eric was a great person and friend and an inspiration to many drummers. He was still working up to his passing.

We were honored to help celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion last night at the British Legion Club in Skegby near Mansfield. It's a fantastic club tucked away, out of site, off Mansfield Road. Like all British Legion Clubs, it's a comfortable welcoming place. A fantastic night was had by all.

Where do I start? A great venue, in a fantastic setting. Fantastic staff. Meals look good. Apologies from the management ( not needed ). Usually on a Saturday night the place is heaving, but not last night for some reason. Too many bank holidays in the past two weeks perhaps? Who knows? It's a funny game , the entertainment business. 1st gig back after our winter break. The crowd at the Rose never let us down. Another brilliant night at the jewel in the Crown! Poor Otis is on a diet. I think one or two of us on stage should follow his lead.That's enough of that. Good to see members of The Mustangs in the crowd ( amongst others). See photos I'll just mention here that Steve & Nikki are organising a musical charity weekend in late March to raise money for The Children's Heart Foundation. Live punk, rock , soul and much more to be presented over four days. We have the honour of performing on the Sunday night 27th March.
