Loxley Mansfield Woodhouse

A great crowd down at the Loxley last night opposite ‘The Trough’. Sadly, yet another establishment to close down. This weekend is to be it’s last. The Loxley will be no more. See photos.

Smallthorne Victory Club

After a tiring, long day Friday, we dragged ourselves to Stoke on Trent. Our energy soon returned thanks to the beaming friendly audience at the ‘vic’ . That’s one of the benefits of performing live in front of an audience.
And what a beautiful day to help us along. Driving with the windows open...wow! See you again Smallthorne later in the year.

Reunion Concert

To celebrate the fifth year of our annual concerts for The John Eastwood Hospice, we ‘slipped’ an extra one in this year. Last night the concert took place at The Black Market in Warsop. Audience numbers were low. Only 66 attended. In-spite of that we raised over £500, which made all the months of planning and hard work worthwhile.Special thanks to Dave and the team at the Black Market. It was their first involvement with our reunion concerts. The Black Market has a reputation of being a ‘rock’ venue. We suspect the locals didn’t support the charity because of that reputation. ... They missed an excellent family night out.... Six live bands for a fiver. What more can you ask? Where’s your community spirit?

Enough said. We now move on to organising the big one in October. It takes place at Forest Town Welfare.

Forest Town Welfare

What a night ? We were all tired after Saturdays stressful trip to Spalding, but Eric and the crowd at Forest Town made us welcome and we know that they enjoyed it as much as we did. They are a bit shy at dancing, but for a few. But they were all in good voice. We hope to see you again soon. ( Apart from the charity concert in October)
